Phlebotomy Technician

COURSE STARTS OCTOBER 29, 2024

As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be trained to draw blood samples, collect lab specimens from patients for analysis, obtain vital signs, verify records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis from patients in a clinical laboratory or public health setting.

 

Course Objectives:

Receive hands-on training in venipuncture, capillary draws, heel sticks, and non-blood specimens. Topics covered include anatomy of the circulatory system, medical terminology, quality assurance, HIPAA, and infection control. Price includes book, certification prep material, lab supplies, and CPR certification.

Course Hours & Times:

This class meets twice per week for 5 weeks. Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00am -11:00am or 5:30pm-7:30pm

 

Enrollment Requirements:

-Must be 17 years of age or older

Medical Administrative Assistant- Online

​

​Course Objectives:

In today’s busy medical practices Medical Administrative Assistants are vital members of the medical team. Medical administrative assistants are essential team members in the healthcare setting, with front office duties that include answering phones., setting appointments, managing office procedures, and much more. They are also responsible for the following duties: using office software and equipment, managing operation reports, updating patient electronic medical records, greeting and intaking patients, and verifying patient or donor identity. As advancements in medical technology rise, more employers are requiring national certification in the administrative field each year. Price includes course materials and certification exam cost.

This class meets twice per week ONLINE for 5 weeks. Mondays & Wednesdays 8:30am -10:30am

AHA BLS COURSE

4 hours | $75  

The AHA’s BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. It teaches single and 2-rescuer along with team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics with hands on practice session.

AHA HEARTSAVER CPR AED

3 hours | $75

The AHA's Heartsaver CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide CPR and the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED)  in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

 

AHA HEARTSAVER FIRST AID

 

3 hours | $60

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

AHA PEDIATRIC HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR AED

 

7 hours | $125

The AHA's Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on children in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

*Heartsaver CPR AED- $50 per person

*Heartsaver First Aid- $40

*Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid CPR-$100

Payment plan consists of three (3) equal payments invoiced every two weeks.  Orphic will not run a credit check.

Orphic does not charge an interest rate but tuition must be paid in full prior to graduation.
